Morning of August 31st, his birthday!
The card from RayRay and Champ sang "Life is a Highway," with Lightning McQueen. It was and still is a favorite!
Blueberry pancakes for birthday breakfast and a special card from dad.
We had so much fun for his party. Hudson and Jake play really well together. On August 31st, we did our traditional birthday breakfast. It's usually a waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, but Hudson requested blueberry pancakes. You can't argue with the birthday boy, or an excuse to indulge in some blueberry pancakes, so we catered to his request. He took some massive cupcakes to his class and they of course had sprinkles on them. I'm considering putting sprinkles on his vegetables to see if he'll eat them that way. He got a stomach virus after his nap that day, which lead to Stephen and I both getting it that night... yuck! Major stayed strong and never got it, thank you. We also know that our visitors Ryan-Kate and Julianne got it (pictures of their visit soon to be posted). Then, Julianne's husband Jared got it. Icky! So sorry!

so fun! nothing like a summertime birthday with pizza, silly string, and sidewalk chalk! but i do have one question, isn't his birthday August 31, and yours the 3rd? or am i just reading it wrong? haha, i really stink at birthdays, but this one has me stumped? it was so fun to get to hang out a little this weekend! love ya
