Coppell Christmas

Opening presents

This started about 5 minutes after we arrived at their house. The boys hadn't opened anything so they were so excited.

Major acting goofy.

Coppell Santa
This Santa is outside a house in Coppell every night from 6:30-8:30. Usually there is a Mrs. Claus but this year there wasn't. We think she might have found an elf to run off with.
We did have a great time with RayRay and Champ, and the Hoerman's! I guess I stopped taking pictures with all the Christmas hoop-la going on. It was a sweet time though and I'm glad we got to do it!

Christmas Party - Victoria Style

Hudson greeting Santa and Mrs. Claus on their way into the party.
Here he is telling them what he wants for Christmas... Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Woody's hat, the rocket ship, a ferrari, and spin-out McQueen.
Craft tables with high school helpers for the little ones.
Major hitting up the craft table.

Christmas Cookies with Grammy!

Caroling...

Hudson's class went to a nursing home and sang Christmas carols. The parents out numbered the people living in the nursing home by about 3 to one. I drove Hudson and two friends from his class. They suggested a stop at Chick-fil-a on the way back to school. I would have done it just because they were so cute but the school would have missed us.

He's standing right in front of the music teacher and very much following her every move.
At the next location he decided to sing to the jam box, where the music was coming from.
I'm trying to explain that he should sing to the people at the nursing home. You can tell by the look that he listened and then decided the jam box thing was more fun.

SNOW

Major and I leaving the grocery store in the SNOW!

The grocery store was similar to a hurricane experience. I went thinking it would be nice to cook some chili. Apparently, I wasn't alone in this thought. I could hardly find a parking spot.

Thanksgiving 2009

Coppell, here we come!

Fun Facts:

1. It takes 5 hours to get from Victoria to Coppell
2. Most of the drive is a two way highway - passing involves NASCAR skills which I have
3. We drive through towns like Hallettsville, Schulenburg, Giddings, LaGrange, Cameron, then WACO

In Coppell

Hudson and Ryan-Kate with her puppy Rugger
The adults had a late Thanksgiving lunch and the little ones ate a little early.

Playing footsie

Bass Pro
Is there more pretzel?
Count me OUT on that jumping thing!
Hudson "jumping"
He didn't quit. I'll say that for him. The 4 year old girl that went before him was jumping to the second story of the mall and flipping. His performance was a little more low key, shall we say ;)

Mercy Me

Conner, Reed, Julie, Emily, Stephen, Jenise
with
MERCY ME
We were excited to go see Mercy Me and Tenth Avenue North this week. A couple of days ago, Ben told us that we would get to meet them! Very cool! There weren't very many people backstage so we got to say hello and pose for a pic. I just noticed how relaxed they were and how genuine they seemed. I saw them about 10 years ago at Irving Bible church so we chatted about that. The concert was wonderful and I really did feel a little cooler after meeting them. When they were performing I thought... "Hey guys! Remember me?" Props also to Tenth Avenue North... I'm a fan! Check them out if you're curious. You'll probably recognize a couple of songs and the rest are just as good.

Fat Lip

A little slip slide incident in the bath tub which turned out to be okay... meaning no trip to the ER needed....

Sorry Huddy Buddy :(
