I think Victoria is only about 100 years away from having something like this.

We thought the pool opened at 10am but it didn't open until 11am. We walked to the park until it opened. It was ridiculously hot.

Late night Cookie Monsters, Hudson and Champ

First stop, Waco. I picked up a late Father's day present for Stephen and we tried to see the bears. They were sleeping. I still took a picture to document the effort. It was over 100 degrees after all (at least I think it was).

Take me out to the ball game...

Ann made a last minute call to let us know Conner was playing an AllStar Little League game about an hour from our house. We jumped in the car to Schulenburg, TX to watch Conner and see Emily, Julie, Reed, and Grammy and Gramps, of course.

This is what Major did 99% of the time we were at the game. Fun!

Slip Slidin Around

Hudson was in heaven sliding down the wet slide into the water. He did it a bazillion times that day.

Stephen put Major's bathing suit on Hudson, so we had trouble keeping the suit covering his assets, if you know what I mean.

14 Month Old Memories

Check out that molar! He has 4 molars. That has been going on all month. Painful. You made it Major! Time for some steak!

Major and I sharing a popsicle. He loves to smile for pictures and he loves to eat popsicles. I think we caught him trying to do both things at the same time.

When major wakes up from naps, this is how I find him. He is crying into the rail of his crib. Literally, every time I go to get him his face is planted in the rail.

That smile, those eyes, melt my heart. I really want to eat him up.

Some other things not to be forgotten - Major is in love with Murphy, our dog. He belly laughs at Murphy all the time. He says "da, da" when he is talking to the "doggy." He talks a lot with the words he does have. Today he said "uh, oh." I said "Oh, dear!" and he said "oh, da." He's repeating a lot and trying lots of words. I've been trying some signs with him and he does his own little version of of "more." He isn't walking yet but he's close. I think he's playing me, to make sure I still pick him up and snuggle as much as possible. Major is gentle, sensitive, fun, curious. He is seeking my approval as he ventures out to try new things. He just seems to be an "old soul." Love you my Major Bear!

After

Some of these feel more like "after" than others. It has been an adventure, for sure. There are still little things that we plan on doing but for now I'm done. I love how it turned out.

RayRay Activities

RayRay helped so much during her visit. Stephen and I got so much done on the house. Those boys had a blast. RayRay braved the Victoria Zoo (twice), Children's Museum, parks, McDonalds, Chick-fil-a, without help from me. She's brave. She also cooked fantastic food every night. I'm spoiled. What would I do without grandparents.

RayRay and the boys spent lots of time outside. Hudson loves his lawnmower and RayRay got him a new one (not pictured). It blows bubbles and is a big hit.

Not sure why these are under the "after" heading.  We did have some tree trimming and are still working on the grass ("we" - not me or stephen but we appreciate the guys that are working on it)
