Stephen's 33rd Birthday

Cake preparation the night before Stephen's birthday.

Hudson "helped" me make Stephen's favorite strawberry cake.

I took the boys to the dollar store to pick out a present for Stephen. Hudson picked out a yo-yo that looks like a tire, of course. Here he is giving it to his daddy.

Major picked out a pack of dinosaurs for dad. Major also chose to sleep through the morning activities and this is such a rarity that we let him sleep on. I can count on one hand the times he has slept past 7am. That's right, he's usually up in the 5 or 6 o'clock hour.

Here is Stephen with his new kicks from yours truly and Hudson is holding the card that he and Major gave daddy.

A few days later, we had The Fergusons in town as a special treat and had a fun time. The kids played great together. Hudson and Reid even had a sleep over in Hudson's bunk beds. They didn't go right to sleep but it was so cute to hear them talking when we left. At one point they were deciding the odds of getting spanked if they got up again. We didn't see them after they talked through that scenario so I guess their 3 year old wisdom got the best of them. We even had a babysitter watch all 4 kids Saturday night while the adults had a nice dinner and quiet time. It was a great end to Stephen's birthday week.

To Infinity and Beyond

Major kept eating huge pieces of cantaloupe by putting it in his mouth and slowly chomping until it was gone. He walked all over the place with a cantaloupe beak, or that's what I called it.

Love those baby brother eyes looking at big brother.

Good Morning Birthday Boy

I guess I didn't get pictures of him opening presents but he did receive a whoopy cushion and it was hours of fun.

This seems to be the reason there aren't any pictures of him opening his presents. I was behind the video camera.

He got lots of cool train stuff: all different kinds of Thomas', lots of tracks, a really cool boulder lift contraption. He loved it and so did Hudson.

The birthday boy is here!

He came in with RayRay and Champ. They took the boys for awhile that morning so Stephen and I could get organized for the big party.

Had to give my big boy a little kissy. I think I surprised him :)

We ate to our hearts content on salad, pizza, wings, and it was easy! Love that!

We got lots of yummy cupcakes from a cute little store in town. Delicious!

I realize now that this is Major checking out the finger that he burnt on his candles. Oops! It happens, right?

When we get a picture that actually has all smiling and looking, I'll send everyone a copy. Although my children will most likely be in high school when this happens, and I can really threaten them with taking a car away or giving an early curfew.

Till then...

Yeah, that's the look I thought he'd give me once he turned two.

Air hockey is probably his favorite game at Chuck E. Cheese. He loves it and can beat me without any special help. I'm not very good at air hockey but I did think I might give a two year old a run for his money. It's a close game.

Murphy's in the Money

Major and Murphy have a sweet relationship. Major just loves the puppy and I find them playing a lot. I thought this was particularly cute of the two buddies hanging out.

Hudson gave Murphy a little squeeze too.

Murph use to be my baby but that was many, many moons ago. I think he's a good dog but you would have a hard time finding a picture of me with my arm around him. Sorry Murph.

Major has .F.O.U.R. blankets

Major is trying to carry his four blankets after bath time.

He has a lion "lovey" type blanket that is small and the original, if you will.

The other three were meant just to cover him up, but Major takes all 4 very seriously!
